6-10 years of overall technology experience, with a strong background in object-oriented programming using languages such as Java, C, or C#
3-5 years of experience with Python
3-5 years of experience with 'Big Data' technologies, including HDFS, Impala, and PySpark
6-10 years of experience in designing and tuning SQL database tables/queries
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
Experience with grid computing and handling high data volumes
Experience with object-oriented databases
Experience with test-driven development, functional testing, and continuous integration
Familiarity with financial instruments and Price Verification processes
Prior experience with Client Quartz
Demonstrable knowledge of problem domains they have been working in
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Create a Finance Data Lake on HDFS
Develop data transfer tools to replicate data from NoSQL datastore to the DataLake
Create ETL jobs using PySpark
Build REST web services and APIs for internal Quantitative team use
Participate fully in the development process through the entire software lifecycle
Engage in the Agile software development process
