Job Description:Job SummaryThe Surgical Technician in Central Service Processing possesses a fundamental knowledge of sterilization concepts and techniques. They are responsible for maintaining high standards for decontamination, assembly, inspection, wrapping, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment for Surgical Services and all ancillary departments. Also responsible for tray modification, testing and monitoring equipment, identifying appropriate storage containers and providing information required for reordering instruments. They must be able to work in conjunction with the OR staff to provide timely sterile products, trays and case carts where appliciable. Must demonstrate technical skills and knowledge of operating room technique and procedures in order to work alongside the operating room team to test, sterilize and prepare instruments and case carts as required for surgery#STC
QualificationsEducation Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED and Certification in CTOR/ Surgical Technology
Experience
  • Two Years' of recent Cardiac Surg Tech experience
