We’re looking for a system administrator with a solid background in Splunk to help us manage complex customer network environments to help us deploy cybersecurity solutions.As a system administrator on our project, you’ll install, troubleshoot, and perform administration of DoD networks. You’ll provide your customers with insight into their network through monitoring and performance management.Your system administrator expertise will be vital as you identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network. You’ll help your team better understand the network by turning metrics into information and explaining their meaning.This is an opportunity to broaden your skillset into areas like cybersecurity, systems engineering, virtualization, and cloud technologies. The world can’t wait.You Have:4+ years of experience as a systems administrator on DoD networksExperience with performing installations, configuration, patch management, and upgradesExperience administering both standalone and distributed Splunk enterprise environments, including cluster configuration and maintenanceExperience in configuring and managing Splunk deployment servers to integrate third-party Splunk applications, managing endpoint logging configurations, updating Splunk Universal Forwarders, and integrating and maintaining network data sources, including Zeek, Suricata, NetFlow, and syslog within Splunk environmentsExperience in configuring indexes, custom source types, and creating field extractions to ensure accurate search capabilities and data usabilityExperience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems and system administrationKnowledge of Navy IT sites, systems, and infrastructureSecret clearanceHS diploma or GEDDoD 8140 CertificationNice If You Have:Experience with Python, PowerShell, or BashExperience with technical writing, acquisition documentation, cybersecurity requirements and deliverable developmentExperience working in a Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) enclave environment, performing vulnerability analysis of networks, systems, and communications protocolsKnowledge of systems architecture, systems engineering, interoperability, and digitalization of information technologyAbility to devise and execute client deliverables, research independently, identify problems and devise analysis and solutions, communicate results and report findings, and lead the accomplishment of client tasks from inception to completionAbility to brief technical and non-technical senior leadership on complex issuesTop Secret clearanceBachelor's degree in a Technology fieldSplunk Enterprise Certified Architect, Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin, Splunk Core Certified Power User, or Splunk Core Certified Consultant CertificationRed Hat Enterprise Linux CertificationClearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.CompensationAt Booz Allen, we celebrate your contributions, provide you with opportunities and choices, and support your total well-being. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
