Job Posting: CAE Application Engineer (Injection Molding)Position Summary:We’re looking for a self-motivated CAE Applications Engineer with a strong background in injection molding and CAE technologies to actively support our customer-base in North and South America.Moldex3D is a global leader in manufacturing simulation technology, specializing in Computer-AidedEngineering (CAE) solutions for the plastics injection molding industry. Headquartered in Farmington Hills, Michigan, our company is dedicated to solving complex manufacturing challenges by offering advanced simulation tools that optimize production processes. Our solutions are trusted by a diverse range of companies in industries such as automotive, electronics, and consumer goods, helping them enhance product quality and efficiency in manufacturing operations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide customers with technical support via phone and email.
  • Support sales reps with pre-sales activities such as demonstrating Moldex3D's specialized manufacturing simulation software and conducting benchmarking projects to showcase its capabilities.
Handle paid consulting projects.
  • Run training sessions for customers.
  • Test Moldex3D's manufacturing simulation software for bug fixes and assist with new version releases to ensure quality and performance.
  • Host webinar sessions, conference presentations and other vent support.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in mechanical engineering, plastics engineering or related fields.
  • Knowledge and skills of Injection Molding /CAE / CAD is preferred.
  • Willing to travel independently, up to 25% of time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
  • Sound computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Natural ability to work well in a team as well as individually.
  • Please note: This position requires expertise in manufacturing, specifically related to injection molding and CAE. It is not an IT or software development role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with plastic injection molding processes.
  • Familiarity with CAE simulation software such as Moldex3D, Autodesk Moldflow, Sigmasoft.
