
Piping Designer / Business Development Specialist

- Lead piping design projects from concept through completion using industry-standard software and practices
- Build and manage client relationships focused on piping design services in your region
- Scope and manage piping design projects using internal support teams
- Identify business opportunities specifically related to piping design needs and align them with internal and external capabilities
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor for piping design challenges, not just a vendor
- Attend site visits, client meetings, and industry events to build relationships and assess project needs
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to overall team technical capabilities
- 15+ years of experience in piping design for industrial, chemical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing facilities
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, PDMS, E3D, or similar)
- Strong understanding of piping codes, standards, and best practices (ASME B31.3, etc.)
- Experience with P&IDs, isometrics, piping layouts, and support design
- Hands-on project management and customer-facing experience in consulting environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Regional knowledge of manufacturing and industrial markets
- Proven track record of building lasting professional relationships
- Comfort with consultative selling approach focused on technical solutions
