The Research Clinical Informatics Lead will be responsible for research informatics across the enterprise, supporting multiple applications that integrate clinical research within the electronic health record. Individual will be responsible for research workflow design and optimization, including analysis, build, and data management. Preference will be given to candidates with prior experience in research, informatics or system applications.
  • Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years nursing, allied health or related healthcare experience in designated area of application(s) supported required.
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with process/workflow transformation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in health care, information technology or business related field required.
  • If supporting Epic application ability to obtain certification in relevant application(s) for the position with six months of hire required.
  • Proficient knowledge and ability to employ systems analysis, continuous quality improvement, and industry best practices, tools, and standards required.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and interpersonal required.
  • Knowledge of team building, both as participant of teams and in a leadership role required.
  • Strong project management and presentation skills required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Close attention to detail required.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills necessary to apply expertise to problems and/or increase operational efficiency with systems required.
  • Must have expertise in subject matter areas demonstrated by documented experience in analysis, process design and workflow, research, installation/implementation, and support of software applications and system required.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with leadership and all levels of colleagues, including users and non-users of the EHR required.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license or appropriate allied health license in the state of Nebraska only as required in
accordance with appropriate degree required.Preferred Qualifications:
  • Healthcare operations background preferred (e.g., clinical, billing, scheduling, access services, health information management, etc.).
  • Experience with project management and/or workflow analysis for development of electronic solutions within assigned applications preferred.
  • Experience with Epic preferred.
  • Post graduate degree in healthcare, informatics or information technology field (Master's degree or above) preferred.
  • Certification or formal education in informatics preferred.
  • Certification in Epic or other relevant applications for the specific position preferred.
  • Knowledge of operational healthcare hospital/clinic workflows preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the organization's policies, procedures, and business operations preferred.
  • Professional level certification from and accredited organization in informatics, health information technology or relevant clinical or business specialty preferred.
