This position will sit in Tukwila, WA.Selected candidates will work on a relative navigation and rendezvous proximity operations (RPO) for spacecraft programs and will develop state of the art navigation and guidance algorithms, create integrated GN&C systems, perform mission planning and analysis, execute system performance analyses and implement simulation solutions to support our customers.Our teams are currently hiring for a range of experience levels including; Level 4 and Level 5 Senior Navigation Engineers.Position Responsibilities:Design, analyze and lead the development of Navigation and Attitude Determination systems, simulations, models, tools and analysis techniquesLead and define Navigation performance requirements, ensure requirements traceability and quality from the system level to component level, resolve requirements issues across program elements.Lead mission planning and analyses to define spacecraft trajectories and performance requirementsDevelop and integrate navigation algorithms to support mission and trajectory needsDevelop State Estimation and optimization techniquesCreate models, simulations and tools to support GN&C system development and analysisPerform a wide variety of complex trade studies to identify and recommend solutions to problems and issuesSupport the definition of requirements compliance processes and certification criteria and methodsAssure timely, cost effective solutions for program and engineering issues, present recommendations and implementation status to leadership and customersWork under consultative supervision, coach other engineers and leadersThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.This position requires ability to obtain program access, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship only.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry5+ or more years’ experience with spacecraft system design, development, test and evaluationExperience with working with Global Positioning Systems, Stellar-Inertial Attitude Determination, Related Navigation systems and solutions, Rendezvous and Proximity Operations, Astrodynamics and Orbit MechanicsExperience with C/C++, Python, or other programming languagesExperience with Matlab/SimulinkPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):(Level 5) 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with Vison Based Relative NavigationExperience with GPS based Orbit DeterminationTypical Education/Experience:(Level 4)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.(Level 5)Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience).
