SummaryPosition SummaryUnder general supervision diagnoses, repairs and maintains all machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, blueprints and manufacturer's specifications. Uses hand and power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments. Observes mechanical devices in operation, disassembles equipment to repair and/or replace defective parts or tests equipment to insure device is in good operating order. Repairs piping systems, i.e., surgical gas lines, water lines, sewage and drain lines, heating systems and HVAC.Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)Education: High school education or equivalent preferred. Two year trade school in machine maintenance or equivalent training and experience.License/Certifications: State of Maine HP Boiler Operators License required within 12 months of hire. 6040 Medical Gas Certification preferred within first 24 months of hire date.Experience: See "Education"Ability to repair machinery and mechanical equipment. Set up and properly operate drill press, grinder, cutting torches, welder, threading machine, and other metal working tools.
