Time Zone: The client operates in the ET time zone.Industry: FinancialKopius is looking for a Sr. QA Automation Engineer to join our team!
The project is within the Financial Markets industry and is based in New York. The team develops a platform that organizes securities into three markets based on the quality and quantity of information companies disclose.Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with development teams to ensure high quality during the Agile development lifecycle: architecture, story definition, development, testing, and release.Design and implement automation frameworks for functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across UI, API, and data layers.Write manual test cases for critical integrations and workflows where automation is not yet implemented.Ensure high-quality software delivery in every release cycle.Develop Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Procedures for various types of testing such as Ad Hoc, Functional, GUI, Integration, Regression, Data Validation, User Interface, and overall system integration.Automate test cases for APIs, user interfaces, and business workflows.Troubleshoot application issues and report technical findings to development teams.Participate in brainstorming meetings and daily scrums.Work with Product and Engineering to clarify product and technical requirements.Share daily status updates with the team.Basic Qualifications:Intermediate/Advanced English skills with strong communication abilities.Self-motivated, quick learner, and adaptable to new technologies and legacy systems.Thrives in a team environment, actively contributes to collaboration, fostering a sense of community.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to issue resolution.Required Qualifications:
- Strong experience in automation testing (UI, API, and data validation).
- Proficiency in at least one OOP programming language such as Java or C#.
- Experience with SQL (queries, data validation, troubleshooting).
- Reading/high-level understanding of OOP principles.
- Nice to Have:
- AWS experience (testing cloud-hosted applications and services).
- Knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Experience with NodeJS API automation using frameworks such as Jasmine, Mocha, Ava, or Chai.
- Knowledge of Salesforce best practices.
- Financial industry experience, particularly with Trading Platforms and Market Data.
- Experience with FIX protocol testing.
