Possession of a current Louisiana Certified General Appraiser license plus one year of experience as a licensed General Appraiser.Job SpecificationThe official job specifications for this role, as defined by the State Civil Service, can be foundJob Duties and Other InformationJob Duties:
- Perform special purpose property appraisals in accordance with State, Federal and departmental regulations, laws and policies and excess right of way and/or uneconomic remainders owned by the agency.
- Responsible for all appraisal services completed by staff necessary to determine compensation for negotiations, deposition and other purposes as required by the agency.
- Develops and approves scope of work criteria for all staff assignments.
- Determines the degree of support for the appraisal valuations presented in the appraisal reports; uses independent judgement and arrives at a recommended offer, which includes additional compensation.
- Evaluates and approves staff appraisal reports for primary, excess right of way, and uneconomic remainders. Provides input into the evaluation of staff appraisers and consultants at the completion of a project assignment.
This is a statewide position.
