We own and operate over 2,000 miles of industrial gas pipelines in the U.S. supplying mainly oxygen, nitrogen, hydrogen and syngas in large quantities from multiple production sources to major customers in the chemicals, petrochemicals, refining and steel industries. Our pipeline operations and industrial gas production facilities are closely monitored 24/7 within our leading-edge operations control center located in Houston, Texas. Our operations control group monitors over 89,000 data points and assists with product supply and coordination. We are constantly optimizing our supply network to provide high reliability and energy efficiencies allowing Air Liquide to adjust supply needs more quickly and effectively enabling growth to our customers.How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?The successful candidate will lead mentoring and training of facility maintenance staff in understanding the operation/maintenance of plant and equipment, maintenance systems, and general skill set of technicians.Support and comply with all Air Liquide Safety, Health and Environmental procedures/policiesLearns typical permit operating requirements and methods utilized to ensure and document complianceActively assesses the facility's compliance with Industrial Management System (IMS), LIWIM and other Industry best practices, determines and reports gaps.Plans, executes and coordinates maintenance activities of all disciplines while assisting the Maintenance Manager with administration of policiesDirects the implementation of solutions to maintenance problem areas and failure analysis for the Central BasinWorks closely with suppliers to direct inspection of outside shop work while plant equipment is being repaired, reworked or initially fabricated.Manage predictive and preventive maintenance (PDM/PM) programs in Maximo with detailed job plans and follow up corrective works for the Central BasinEnsure proper documentation of work within CMMS (Maximo)Review vendor repair, test & inspection reports communicating results to the plant managers and site lead, ensure proper follow up work orders are in placeReview scopes for projects and maintenance activitiesResponsible for supporting engineering of projects on site and working with the engineering teams and contract personnel as requiredCoordinate between the local maintenance team, the zone maintenance team and operations team to coordinate the smooth execution of daily and TAR maintenance workWork with the maintenance manager to maintain 95% or greater compliance in PM program and 100% EIS PM complianceDedicated to achieving and maintaining no past due PMsEnsure proper planning of maintenance activities by utilizing Maximo and the work order systemAssist in analysis and follow up on PdM data (thermography, relay and breaker testing, transformer oil/gas test, PD and PI of motors, oil analysis, vibration analysis etc)Actively participate in Root Cause Analysis and Vulnerability StudiesDevelop and modify maintenance strategies based on RCA, VS and Risk Analysis findingsPlan, manage and execute major maintenance activities and turnaroundsComplete maintenance activities on schedule and budgetSupport the preparation of capital and maintenance expense budgeting to properly maintain plant equipmentParticipate in development of annual maintenance schedule, budget and turnaround plansUnderstand and promote the GCPL Maintenance Management ProcessUtilize the GCPL Maintenance Center and Corporate standardsReview critical spare parts and provide feedback to improve the spare parts stocking at NW and local warehouse, ensuring spare parts are adequately stocked, stored and replenished as neededWork closely with contractors; monitor contractor work quality and costAssist Maintenance team in maintaining equipment manuals and documentationMake suggestions to improve plant safety, efficiency, reliability and qualityLead Maintenance Incident reviews investigations and RCAs and drive related improvementsSet and maintain high housekeeping standardsLearns to Develop and Lead People:Models exemplary safety behavior, leads by personal example.Works to achieve “Zero Accidents” by taking a leadership role in safety.Directs the on the job training and development of junior engineers, lead technicians to ensure a high level of competence.Conducts annual and mid-year performance reviews for Maintenance Technicians for accuracy and applicability, prepares performance development plans and generates the necessary documentation for completing performance evaluations.Provides candid constructive input to management decisions and actively supports those decisions.Develops familiarity with administrative and operational policies and procedures.Manages CostsUnderstands, monitors and optimizes operating costs within authorized budget as guided by the Maintenance Manager.Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce costs.Documents annual cost savings generated.Develops familiarity with common accounting practices and tools.Learns to utilize efficiency and equipment availability indicators to optimize plant performance.Are you a MATCH?Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required7+ years work experience in process plant maintenance and an engineering environmentEquivalent combination of education and experience acceptableSound knowledge of maintenance related to rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, turbines and medium/high voltage distribution systemsProficient use of a CMMS (preferably Maximo)Knowledge of root-cause analysis techniquesProject management skills and use of project management toolsStrong analytical and problem solving skillsStrong leadership, motivation, interpersonal and communication skillsLead a motivated skilled team of engineers and techniciansHighly organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize workExperience in proactive planning and scheduling of maintenanceSkilled in the use of Google Chrome appsStrong verbal/written communication skillsHas full range of motion;
