Competitive Pay – $28-$30 per hour depending on hospice experience
Schedule- Full-time: Monday-Friday, 8 AM-5 PM. Provide back-up call support when required and PRN positions available

As a Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
Provide home-based care to patients with six months or less to live, focused on quality of life
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, RN, CNA, HHA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient’s plan of care
Perform nursing services which are planned, delegated, and supervised by the registered nurse
Assess and provide patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care
Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient’s mind, body, spirit and family
A few must-haves for Hospice:
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license in Louisiana
At least one year of hospice experience
CPR certification
Valid Louisiana driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation
Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
Clinical proficiency in nursing, strong communication skills and compassion
