
Automatic Machine Operator

- Use wire feed welder to weld broken tray.
- Use multimeters to help trouble shoot electrical systems on all production machines.
- Use grinders, drills and other hand-held tools to maintain & modified production line.
- Use measuring tools: micro motor, calipers, ruler, and scales.
- Assist with setting up operations for the day. And ensure machines are ready for operation.
- Must wear appropriate PPE and follow all safety policies and practices.
- Review production schedules and ensure correct size tray is produced within standards, properly packaged, and loaded on trucks.
- Ensure production line is safe, clean and in good working condition.
- Complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Ensure tools are in place.
- Assist with changeovers.
- Modify existing programs as needed to ensure quality of end product.
- Preform hourly inspections, quality checks and inspect tray.
- Complete daily & weekly paper work ie. daily report, monthly tracking, TRS board.
- Keep Supervisors informed of machine problems such as break downs or bad wire & spare parts inventory.
- Practice continuous improvement by participating in meetings and workshops.
- Adjusting settings in the set- up and control of production equipment in accordance with applicable procedures and instructions.
- Perform both mechanical and electrical machine maintenance activities.
- Additional responsibilities may arise through the development of the above listed items.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Able to perform repetitive job functions; hand mobility, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
- Able to stand for at least 8 hours per day.
- Basic Computer knowledge.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Four years of experience with mechanical equipment & general manufacturing experience.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Experience in use of measuring gauges.
- Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic valves, cylinders, pumps, motors and motor controls, variable frequency drives, contactors, breakers and PLC controls.
- Basic electrical background (12 v to 480 v) and experience with 3 phase electric troubleshooting.
