Position Title: OTA System EngineerPosition Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity for an OTA System Engineer with our client in Redmond, WA.Job Responsibilities:
Execute and oversee satellite over-the-air (OTA) update operations across the constellation and ground test venues
Implement and maintain deployment schedules for satellite software updates
Monitor satellite health metrics during software deployments
Perform pre and post-deployment health checks and validation procedures
Execute recovery procedures when deployment issues arise
Coordinate real-time with launch operations teams for satellite configuration
Manage parallel update operations while monitoring thermal and power constraints
Maintain and follow operational procedures for satellite software deployments
Conduct operational risk assessments for deployment plans
Perform acceptance testing for satellite software updates
Job Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science or related field
5+ years of hands-on operational experience in systems engineering
3+ years experience with Linux-based systems operations
Strong background in aerospace, satellite or spacecraft operations
Experience with deployment operations and scheduling
Practical knowledge of satellite health monitoring and telemetry systems
Experience in operational validation procedures
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Direct experience with satellite OTA operations
Practical experience with spacecraft thermal and power management
Experience in mission operations and scheduling
Hands-on experience with satellite commanding and telemetry systems

Pay Range: $60 - $80/hr.
