We are recruiting for thehio Department of Commerce (ODOC), Administrative Division. Sansar Tec is seeking a Business Relationship Manager (BRM) to act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor between business units and Information Technology. The BRM will serve as a customer advocate, ensuring technology solutions align with ODOC’s mission, business goals, and compliance standards.This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills and a strong understanding of both business needs and technological capabilities.Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a business advocate, assessing technology needs and proposing solutions to complex challenges.
  • Prepare cost-benefit analyses and help prioritize projects to maximize ROI.
  • Ensure business units understand technology solutions and comply with governance and architecture standards.
  • Support IT budgeting and planning for assigned business units; track IT spending throughout the budget cycle.
  • Partner with leaders across the agency and external stakeholders to deliver meaningful results from IT initiatives.
  • Monitor ongoing technology and training needs; keep business units informed of IT services and solutions.
  • Coordinate and lead monthly steering meetings to manage technology activities and priorities.
  • Create and execute communication plans tailored to diverse stakeholders.
  • Report on activities, performance, and customer satisfaction to IT leadership.
  • Drive continual improvement of IT branding, marketing, and service documentation.
  • 10 years business relationship management experience
  • 4-year college degree in computer science or a related field with advanced study preferred
  • BRMP or equivalent certification (Nice to have)
  • Proven ability to bridge business goals and technology capabilities
  • Hands-on experience with IT governance, demand management, and strategic planning
  • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with both executives and technical staff
  • Track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing enterprise-wide technology initiatives
  • Hands-on understanding of enterprise IT solutions, cloud platforms, data governance, and cybersecurity frameworks
  • Familiarity with state government processes, compliance, or highly regulated industries
