- Serve as a business advocate, assessing technology needs and proposing solutions to complex challenges.
- Prepare cost-benefit analyses and help prioritize projects to maximize ROI.
- Ensure business units understand technology solutions and comply with governance and architecture standards.
- Support IT budgeting and planning for assigned business units; track IT spending throughout the budget cycle.
- Partner with leaders across the agency and external stakeholders to deliver meaningful results from IT initiatives.
- Monitor ongoing technology and training needs; keep business units informed of IT services and solutions.
- Coordinate and lead monthly steering meetings to manage technology activities and priorities.
- Create and execute communication plans tailored to diverse stakeholders.
- Report on activities, performance, and customer satisfaction to IT leadership.
- Drive continual improvement of IT branding, marketing, and service documentation.
- 10 years business relationship management experience
- 4-year college degree in computer science or a related field with advanced study preferred
- BRMP or equivalent certification (Nice to have)
- Proven ability to bridge business goals and technology capabilities
- Hands-on experience with IT governance, demand management, and strategic planning
- Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills with both executives and technical staff
- Track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing enterprise-wide technology initiatives
- Hands-on understanding of enterprise IT solutions, cloud platforms, data governance, and cybersecurity frameworks
- Familiarity with state government processes, compliance, or highly regulated industries
