- Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the facility.
- Request in WorxHub any needed preventative maintenance and repairs.
- Assists in establishing cleaning standards and procedures in accordance to regulations.
- Arrange work schedules, assign duties and assure the services are rendered or work performed in accordance with specified standards.
- Maintain records, housekeeping supplies, inventory, and order necessary supplies while adhering to established budgets.
- Orient new employees and instruct them in work procedures which are essential for housekeeping operations.
- Evaluate employee's work performance and recommend actions to Director of Environmental Services such as commendations or disciplinary action.
- Supervise and participate in cleaning of residents' apartments/rooms and common areas.
- Attend in-services and other meetings as the Housekeeping Supervisor and participate on committees as directed.
- Maintain professional growth through seminars, outside conferences, etc.
- Supervise and participate in cleaning duties as established by the Director of Environmental Services and supplement or relieve personnel to meet workloads.
- Supervise the operations of the laundry so as to assure that all linens and clothing are properly laundered according to prescribed standards.
- Supervises maintenance of equipment and area in clean, orderly manner.
- Interprets Federal, State and local laws and regulations affecting all aspects of the Environmental Services operations in order to assure compliance.
- In on-call and available for call-offs and concerns of the Housekeeping staff.
- A high school graduate or equivalent.
- Special courses in housekeeping or institutional management or equivalent experience preferred.
- Two years' experience in housekeeping or laundry required.
- Two years' supervisor experience required.
- Good written, oral, organizational, and basic computer skills.
