- Develop care plans and participate in the review of care plans as requested
- Provide nursing services in accordance with an established care plan
- Make routine resident visits to assess and document physical and emotional status; implement any required nursing interventions
- Assist residents to achieve and maintain the highest level of self-care and independence
- Administer and maintain records of prescribed medications and treatments
- Communicate pertinent information to supervising RN, physicians, family, and/or other appropriate personnel
- Accurately complete admission, weekly, follow-up, and discharge charting
- Provide support, assistance, direction, and supervision to other nursing and support staff as needed
- Maintain positive and effective communication and relationships with the patients and their families
- Other duties as assigned
- Must hold a current license and be in good standing as a Licensed Nurse in the State of Minnesota
- Must be CPR certified and have completed first aid training
- Must have previous experience in nursing or other healthcare/medical fields
- Able to problem-solve, think critically, and take immediate corrective action if patient well-being or care is in jeopardy
- Experience with memory loss preferred, but not required
- Compassionate and caring demeanor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Previous management or leadership experience preferred, but not required
