We believe when YOU succeed, we all succeed, so we strive to be the first call for talented team members who want a career, not just a job.POSITION OVERVIEWWe are currently seeking an experienced Piping/Equipment Start-Up Mechanic to join the fast-growing R&W Mechanical Team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem-solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service.JOB RESPONSIBILITES
  • Experienced in Refrigerant, Gas, Hydronic, PVC, CPVC Piping.
  • Low Voltage Wiring
  • Ductless and Ducted Mini-Splits and VRF Systems.
  • Change-out experience for Gas, HP, Boilers and Chillers.
  • Create required materials lists such as pipes, hangars, brackets, etc.
  • Venting Gas/Oil Fired Equipment
  • Conduct pressure tests on piping systems to identify and address potential leaks.
  • Ensure that piping systems meet local code requirements and quality standards.
  • Evacuate and Flush existing refrigerant piping.
  • Complying with relevant codes and regulatory standards
  • Piping systems include Chilled Water, Heating Water, Refrigeration, Condensate, Steam, and Condenser Water piping.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while working with refrigeration and hydronic systems.
  • Identify and report potential safety hazards to supervisors.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma/GED
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Capable of reading and understanding blueprints.
  • Proven experience as a piping mechanic, preferably 3-5 years expertise in refrigeration and hydronic systems.
  • Must have hand tools
  • Ability to prioritize and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Physical dexterity
  • Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 75 pounds and ability to lift and regularly carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
