The Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining facility equipment, processing systems, and property structures in a food manufacturing environment. This role supports safe and efficient plant operations while ensuring compliance with EPA, Hazmat, OSHA, and USDA/FSIS regulations.
Job Duties:Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and vacuum systems.Install, repair, and maintain processing and packaging equipment under supervision.Read and interpret basic electrical schematics; perform basic fabrication including welding (stainless & carbon steel).Execute repairs on buildings, facility structures, and grounds as needed.Follow GMPs and food safety requirements in all maintenance work.Support continuous operations by responding to breakdowns and ensuring equipment reliability.Qualifications:3+ years of maintenance experience in industrial or food manufacturing preferred.Knowledge of USDA/FSIS regulations a plus.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with ability to apply math concepts to practical tasks.Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled form.Team-oriented attitude with commitment to maintaining a positive work environment.Work performed in a cold, loud plant environment.Must be able to lift 50 lbs frequently, stand for long periods, perform repetitive tasks, and work weekends/overtime when required.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or genetic information.
