This position will be the strategic finance business partner to the Amazon Business Supplier Operations (ABSO) team, primarily supporting the product and engineering team. This role will provide financial overview, support decision making, and define tech ROI process in this rapidly evolving space. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity and who thrives in a fast-paced environment.AB Finance offers a rich learning experience and an opportunity to develop professionally. You will work closely with business partners and get exposure to senior leaders, and become a subject matter expert. We are looking for individuals who can engage business partners to drive results and who welcome the challenge of building structure and supporting high growth in a fledgling organization with senior management visibility.The successful candidate will need to develop, maintain, and standardize reports that will be used by executive leadership to access the health of the business and identify problem or opportunity areas. This role also requires the candidate to have a high degree of learn and be curious and deep dive in order to execute ad-hoc analysis and provide thoughtful business insight. Given that product development is central to developing sellers, the successful candidate will need to be capable of building bespoke financial models that enable an understanding of incremental growth, profitability, and ROI of newly launched programs and features. Finally, this role requires the capability to clearly articulate the financial aspects and takeaways of their analyses to influence senior leader.This role will be based out of Seattle, WA.Key job responsibilities
- Serve as a finance leader working directly with product and program teams, senior management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations
- Lead the financial planning and analysis processes with metrics and data insights for financial risks, opportunities, and investment decisions
- Lead the preparation of weekly, monthly, and annual business performance reviews
- Develop, report, and analyze key input metrics that support team goals
- Partner with Product and Tech leadership to manage the budget/expenses and headcount
- Influence business decisions with effective verbal and written communication, data driven analysis and modeling, and presentation of options and alternatives
- Ensure compliance with controls and systems, and develop new processes to support the fast-growing businessWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USAPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of SQL/ETL
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
