
Field Sales Representative - Laboratory

2. Develops and maintains active pipeline of designated weighing solutions and software solutions. Coordinates closely with respective solutions product champions.
3. Develops and maintains dynamic pipeline of sales opportunities within assigned territory.
4. Responsible for coordinating closely with Mettler Toledo (MT) representatives, instrument representatives and field service groups on a regular basis to generate new leads, develop opportunities, generate customer proposals to leverage entire METTLER TOLEDO lab product and service portfolio.
5. Working with field personnel, spearheads strategic campaigns to create mutual high-value relationships between customers and METTLER TOLEDO.
6. Performs technical presentations and demonstrations involving weighing system solutions and/or software to existing or potential customers. Conducts presentations/demonstrations primarily in person or by using conferencing/virtual technologies where appropriate and prudent.
7. Conveys METTLER TOLEDO total solution approach including METTLER TOLEDO service, validation, training, and other professional services to accompany placement of the products or software into the customer environment.
8. Post-sale responsibilities include coordinating the overall process of system installation and training between customer and MT resources to ensure successful customer start.
9. Managing time, territory and expenses within budget while maximizing productivity
10. Use of MT-provided CRM, communication and other technology and territory development tools in accord with corporate requirements and frequency.What You Need to SucceedThree to five years of related sales experience in scientific instruments or capital equipmentExperience handling accounts and relationships with a distribution networkExperience training and developing the skills of othersEstablished yourself as a trusted, inspiring leader in a related field by analyzing customer problems, mastering product knowledge, and differentiating from the competitionThe discipline to maintain a customer relationship management (CRM) system daily and complete necessary weekly reportsA BS or BA in the natural sciences preferred, or business/marketing with emphasis on chemistry, physics, biology, environmental science, biochemistry, or neuroscienceExcellent relationship-building skills to build trust with customersPrior knowledge of the analytical instrument sales market is a plusExperience using SAP's CRM system is a plusOur Offer to You
