Under the immediate supervision of the Clinical Applications Supervisor, is responsible for Provider training and support on the EMR application.ResponsibilitiesA. EMR Knowledge
  • Knowledge - Develop and maintain in-depth, up to date knowledge and functionality of the EMR application and all other applications which interface with the EMR.
  • Work with the EMR Team and other stakeholders to help maintain the "Best Practice Manual"
  • Assist with the development and maintenance of the EMR system workflows by collaboration with key stakeholders within other departments while maintaining standard content.
  • Maintain all documentation for training.
B. EMR Training
  • Train Providers in one-on-one sessions; set up Provider specific settings. Introduce the new Providers with the functionality of the EMR. Provider follow-up support until optimal comfort level is reached on the use of the EMR.
  • Assess Providers on the use/competency of the EMR and best practice workflows. Providing education of existing workflows, ordering, documentation, messaging and prescriptions.
  • Provide re-training as necessary.
C. EMR Support
  • Provide support for day to day computer workflow issues and system navigation, by regularly spending support time in each office.
  • Provide support by remotely logging into the provider's system to assist in quick workflow or issue resolution.
QualificationsQualificationsEducation: High School diploma, college degree preferred.Experience: Recommended 3-5 years of experience in a hospital or physician office with using an EMR. Ability to assist Providers and other staff as needed on the EMR. Clinical experience preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
