We’re searching for someone who is enthusiastic, takes direction well, and communicates easily with customers and team members. The server assistant works closely with our main servers to make sure customers get their food on time and that their beverage glasses stay filled. You’ll be responsible for clearing plates and cleaning the table when customers leave, and then resetting it with tableware for the next guests.A sense of urgency and organization is required to keep the kitchen and server stations fully stocked with condiments and other food items. You’ll learn our menu to address customer questions and alert servers when customers need them. You should be familiar with food safety rules and have some food service experience. Minimum wage plus tip out.Responsibilities:
  • Fill water glasses, bring beverages, or refill customers’ glasses, and remember to refill condiments and bring them to the table
  • Clean and clear tables of debris and bring dirty dishes to the kitchen to be washed. Prepare tables for the next guests
  • Handle delivering food from the kitchen to the table on time. Ask if you can help with anything else before leaving the table
  • Bring customers to their tables, communicate with customers regarding any special needs, and relay any issues to the waiter
  • Keep track of kitchen inventory to make sure kitchen and server stations are fully stocked with all the supplies needed
Qualifications:
  • This position requires a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
  • Familiarity with proper handling of food and drinks and kitchen equipment
  • Comfortable with frequent, extended periods of standing, lifting, and bending for the entire shift and/or closing
  • Previous food service industry or QSR experience is preferred but not mandatory
  • Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays and to help out with extra shifts as needed
