As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a shelter location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and responding promptly to any situations that arise. This is an armed and driving post, requiring you to carry the appropriate credentials and operate a vehicle as part of your patrol duties. You will interact with staff, residents, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times.   • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor for unusual activity and report any security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential threats within the shelter environment.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols for armed patrols and security-related operations.
  • Assist with access control and/or visitor management as required by site policies.
  • Document incidents and daily activities in accordance with Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Must possess a valid Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Must have 3+ years of either Military, Law Enforcement or Armed Security experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
