Prepare to immerse yourself in the dynamic environment of Adamson Analytical Laboratories, a Tentamus North America company!We are hiring now for a Microbiology Lab Technician to join our Corona, CA team; Our ideal candidate will exhibit a passion for exploration and possess an insatiable curiosity!How you will contribute as a vital part of our team:
  • Work with the microbiology supervisor to determine priority of samples, and perform the following:
  • Media preparation
  • Sample weighing, plating, and counting
  • Cleaning and sanitizing throughout the Microbiology Laboratory
  • Maintain notebooks and other relevant documentation to GDP (Good Documentation Practices) standards
  • Basic setup, troubleshooting, and routine equipment maintenance.
  • Perform routine checks of instruments such as balances, refrigerators, and incubators
  • Receive and log in reagents, along with certificates of analysis and SDSs
  • Prepare reports and summarize large amounts of data using Excel, instrument software and LIMS.
  • Properly handle and dispose of laboratory hazardous waste.
  • Shared responsibility for inventory and restocking of supplies for general laboratory needs.
  • Seek opportunities to reduce routine laboratory costs by increased efficiency (higher throughput, decreased cost of supplies).
  • Execute projects as assigned to meet changing laboratory needs and requirements.
  • Shared responsibility for general laboratory organization and cleanliness.
  • Lab closing duties like trash removal and end of day cleaning duties
Position Type & Expected ScheduleFull-Time | M - F 9:00PM - 6:00PM | Weekend hours required | Some holiday hours required | OT EligibleTo be successful at Adamson, you'll need:The successful candidate will be authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship, with a minimum of a high school diploma (A.S. or B.S. in Biology preferred), and/or related science or experience working in a production laboratory. New Grads are welcome! Other items include:
  • Lab setting experience preferably in a microbiology laboratory.
  • Good working knowledge of laboratory terminology, biology, bench work, equipment, materials, and the techniques/procedures commonly used in a production laboratory and basic lab skills.
  • Knowledge of LIMS, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
