Join our team in its dedication to be the leading destination for gaming and hospitality on the beautiful, southern Oregon coast!BASIC FUNCTION (the primary purpose of this position):Performs routine daily audits of assigned revenue generating departments to determine compliance with gaming regulations and company and departmental policies and procedures.PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promote a clean, safe, healthy and friendly work environment for employees and guests; report and direct safety issues to Safety Committee.
  • Performs daily audits of assigned revenue-generating departments in accordance with established procedures.
  • Reconciles assigned accounts; prepares daily income journals.
  • Prioritizes work duties and multi-task throughout the workday.
  • Use and navigate the various auditing and accounting software.
  • Communicate effectively status of workflow, discrepancies and any relative information to Revenue Audit Supervisor/Manager.
  • Stay current with all changes in Casino Policy and Procedures.
  • Complies with all applicable company and finance department policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain good relationships with operating department team members.
  • Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS (objective educational or technical training required; skills; and years of experience):
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • High school graduate; some accounting courses preferred.
  • Minimum one year accounting/bookkeeping activities and/or other satisfactory experience.
  • Minimum six months computer experience with ability to use spreadsheets; word processing exposure a plus.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • Must pass and remain in compliance with Coquille Gaming Commission background check and drug free work place policies
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT (the physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations will be considered to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions):Ability to work weekends, holidays, evenings and occasional graveyard shifts as business demands. Employee will work in an environment lighted by fluorescent lights and may be exposed to extreme weather conditions and temperatures. While performing duties of this position, employee is required to stand or sit for extended periods of time, frequently walk, use stairways, use hands to; finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and optically view small printing. Employee will be exposed to computer monitors for extended periods of time [50-75% of the workday]. Required to lift and carry storage boxes [50 lbs] on flat ground and using stairways to complete research and filing needs. Must be able to manage stress appropriately and make decisions under pressure. Manage anger, fear, hostility and violence of others appropriately.
