As a Field Technician you will be responsible for providing field work support on site-specific jobs to meet the goals of the project in a safe and conscientious manner while generating value and satisfaction to internal and external customers.Essential Functions & Requirements:
- Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
- Prepares necessary supplies, tools, and other equipment for transport to worksite
- Cleans and scrapes the inside, and assists with the removal of, underground chemical storage tanks; prepares waste for proper disposal
- Provides demolition labor of contaminated buildings and land sites; operates excavation and filer press equipment
- Operates small hand tools and provides other construction-related assistance during projects
- Decontaminates Company equipment and tools
- Loads, unloads and samples drums; responds to emergency spills as needed
- Maintains the ability to travel up to 50% of the time to project sites
- Takes on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization
- High-school diploma or equivalent (required)
- Valid Driver's License (preferred)
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with both internal and external customers
- Ability to understand RCRA compliance standards and OSHA safety regulations
- Regular and predictable attendance to perform the functions and requirements of this role
- Due to the potential exposure to atmospheres/waste/materials, this position requires individuals to be clean shaven at all times in order to don a respirator for protection.
