- Architect Microsoft infrastructure across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud-first models
- Plan Azure deployments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and workload migrations (e.g., file servers to SharePoint/OneDrive)
- Implement scalable, secure infrastructure and backup strategies using Veeam, Azure Backup, and M365 retention
- Apply Zero Trust principles: Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, SIEM integration
- Recommend hardware/software to optimize performance
- Design secure cloud-hosted workloads (Azure IaaS/PaaS, Windows 365, Intune)
- Assist with cloud migration and optimization
- Develop PowerShell scripts and automation workflows for endpoint enrollment and compliance
- Build frameworks for provisioning, monitoring, and reporting
- Implement Microsoft Defender XDR, endpoint protection, and identity governance
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Manage firewalls, antivirus, and access controls
- Enforce Intune policies for device security and compliance
- Partner with IT technicians and the IT Operations Manager to align solutions with business needs
- Coordinate with network engineering on unified server/storage/firewall setup
- Advise leadership on IT roadmaps and modernization
- Provide Tier 3 support for escalated system issues
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate preferred
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent preferred
- 2-5 years of hands-on experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles
- Experience in both on-premises and Microsoft Azure environments
- Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001
- Windows Server administration, Active Directory/Entra ID, Group Policy
- Microsoft 365 platform management (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint)
- Azure IaaS/PaaS deployment and hybrid cloud integration
- Virtualization, storage, and backup technologies
- PowerShell scripting and basic Infrastructure
- Understanding of networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VPNs, VLANs, and firewalls
