The AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS) team shapes the digital transformation necessary for our treatments to positively impact patients' lives. In the role of Business Systems Consultant, you'll tackle complex challenges as you develop and diversify your professional experiences while helping others grow and develop their skills.In this role you'll be responsible for:
  • Effectively influencing Enterprise Quality Management System initiatives and releases, challenging existing processes, policies, and perceptions, by collaborating with functions across R&D Quality Assurance (RDQA) and with Operations Quality Assurance.
  • Proactively seeking out strategic business opportunities for the application of new or existing technology capabilities across RDQA with high-level business subject matter experts.
  • Investigating and understanding capabilities of existing systems and technologies already in use across RDQA and similar interconnected business areas in AbbVie, and investigating available technologies applied to this business area in industry.
  • Driving RDQA system technology initiatives; managing SLC documentation (ensuring docs are carefully prepared, diligently approved and approved); supporting business users in User Acceptance Test phases, for initiatives within scope of responsibility.
  • Developing RDQA business relationships and integrating activities with other BTOs, e.g. Operations, to ensure successful implementation and support of project efforts.
  • Exercising considerable latitude in determining objectives of assignment. Has defined authority and responsibility for a significant area of work, including technical, financial, and quality aspects.

  • Ability to drive both technology and business discussions with stakeholders during the project lifecycle.

QualificationsExperiences that make you a strong candidate for this role:Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 7+ years; Master's Degree and 6+ years; and PhD and 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Must be able to exercise latitude in the approach to problem solving.
  • Must be able to determine and develop approaches to mitigate risk.
  • Must exhibit exceptional teamwork skills.
  • Must have a strong customer focus.
Beneficial:
  • Experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience in Information Technology, including application program development (5+ years).
  • Experience managing user stories and processes within JIRA.
