- Our client is a plastics manufacturer making custom molded pieces used in data center applications.
- The team is seeking a Business Development Manager to assist with the development & expansion of their Data Center market. The Business Development Manager will be tasked with driving growth by developing and maintaining relationships with both existing & new customers in the Data Center industry.
- Build/Maintain relationships with key decision makers (design engineers, procurement & operations team)
- Identify and grow new customer accounts
- Develop prospect client list
- Collaborate with internal team to provide market feedback
- Monitor industry trends
- Travel to client facilities as needed
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
- 10+ years in business development and/or outside sales role
- 5+ years selling into data center infrastructure industry
- Robust understanding of mechanical components used in data centers: wire guides for server racks, hot/cold aisle containment panels, busbar insulators/busways, overhead cable trays, etc
- Consultative selling approach with background in selling custom engineered products
- Network within OEM's, integrators, and/or end users within data center infrastructure industry
- Technical aptitude to sell features/benefits of products
- Ability to self-generate leads
- Ability to travel upwards of 60%
