Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pmPOSITION SUMMARY:Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Core Receiving & Inspector is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and stocking inbound core units and components for the Genie Reconditioning operation. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that incoming equipment and parts are verified, documented, and routed correctly to support the reconditioning process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-minded, and familiar with warehouse operations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive incoming Genie core machines, components, and material from carriers and customer returns
  • Verify inbound shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and receiving documentation
  • Perform initial inspections of core units and components to assess condition and completeness
  • Use internal systems (PICK, spreadsheets, printed forms, Outlook) to document and communicate receiving information
  • Work closely with Purchasing to resolve discrepancies, such as incorrect part numbers, missing POs, early shipments, or quantity variances
  • Generate and initiate return paperwork (RMA) for rejected or incorrect shipments
  • Safely unload and move material using forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all receiving transactions and assist with inventory updates and adjustments
  • Stage received cores and components for evaluation, teardown, or routing to production areas (e.g., Wash, Blast, Mechanical)
  • Assist with burden material receiving and documentation
  • Conduct cycle counts and participates in annual inventory audits to ensure data accuracy
  • Support clean, organized, and safe work environments throughout the warehouse.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED:
  • Prior experience in warehouse receiving or inspection, preferably in a manufacturing or reconditioning environment
  • Familiarity with Genie aerial lift components and terminology is a plus
  • Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse material handling equipment.
  • Comfortable using tools and performing hands-on visual inspections
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate forklifts or material handling equipment preferred
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to support light repair and assembly tasks when required
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ensure all QMS (Quality Management System) guidelines and regulations are followed
  • All employees are required to follow and promote all company and regulatory safety and environmental standards and exhibit safe work practices at all times
  • Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment): Safety Toe Shoes, Safety Glasses, etc. required at all times in warehouse environment
  • Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and continuous quality improvement objectives
  • Actively participate in and support the principles of Open-Book Management
  • Possess a positive attitude and promote a positive work environment
WORK ENVIRONMENT:The performance of this position requires exposure to atmospheric conditions such as: dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures. Working conditions are those of a packaging and distribution warehouse environment – long periods of standing, periodic exposure to seasonal heat and cold, noise, working with oils and grease. Work is occasionally performed in an office/desk type setting.This position is considered a safety sensitive position. Safety sensitive positions are those with tasks or duties the employer reasonably believes could affect the safety and health of the employees or others. Safety sensitive positions, as an example, require activities with hazardous materials and/or operation of a motor vehicle, other vehicle, equipment, machinery, or power tools.PHYSICAL DEMANDS:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and talk and hear. Standing 50%; walking/sitting 50%. The ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, or more, is required.Work is performed in a heavy manufacturing environment where significant safety considerations exist from the use of dangerous equipment, proximity to moving objects, full-body physical labor, and handling of medium-to-heavy weight materials. Required equipment for all operations, included but not limited to: safety toed shoes, safety glasses.
