Are you mechanically inclined and looking to work in a clean, climate-controlled shop?You’ll love the culture, the people, and the work itself.Position Overview:As a CNC Machinist II, you’ll set up, adjust, and operate both manual and CNC machinery in a custom job shop. You’ll work with materials including carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel, plastics, and other exotic metals.Key Responsibilities:Set up, adjust, and operate manual machines.Set up, load programs, and make tool changes on CNC machinery.Maintain tight tolerances and high-quality finishes.Plan and select work holding setups, tooling, feeds, speeds, and depth of cuts.Perform layout work when jigs are not available; grind tools including form tools.Recommend tooling improvements to enhance efficiency and part quality.Interpret complex blueprints, specifications, and sketches.Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and check own work.Edit programs, make speed/feed adjustments, and operate CNC equipment.Assist and mentor other team members as needed.Follow safety procedures, including use of PPE; lift up to 50 lbs; operate cranes.Requirements:Mazak experience required; 5+ years preferred.High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in shop math, blueprint reading, or machining a plus.At least 4 years’ experience in a machine shop environment.Experience with stainless steel preferred.Proficient in using measuring instruments and reading technical drawings.Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical shop tasks.Equal Opportunity Employer – Veterans and individuals with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
