This role will be based out of our manufacturing facility located in Mason City, IA and is for 2nd Shift (2:00 pm to 11:00 pm).We are growing and there has never been a more exciting time to join us!Come see who we are at:What would you do as our Quality Inspector?As a Quality Inspector, you will perform dimensional & visual inspections of doors and frames to support production lines and meet established requirements.You would also:
  • Execute nondestructive testing when required.
  • Conduct data collection to support line historical data requirements and or machine studies.
  • Complete all required documentation and record keeping.
  • Utilize electronic systems to support inspections; I-Series, Microsoft Office.
  • Assist production in solving product quality problems by leading or helping with any containment actions and identify product to support the rework/remake process.
  • Assist Team Leaders to support quality system requirements.
  • Support raw material incoming inspection.
  • Support calibration system requirements.
  • Completes Non-conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Maintain work area and inspection equipment in accordance with 5S practices.
  • Participate in problem solving teams as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  • Continually promote a safe and harmonious working environment, demonstrating strict adherence to the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct and ASSA ABLOY Health & Safety Policy.
The Skills and Experience you need:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to use gauging instruments including hardness tester.
  • Understand visual standards and customer requirements.
  • Ability to work proactively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems is preferred.
  • American Society Quality (ASQ) Quality Technician Certification is a plus.
  • Door & Frame Manufacturing experience preferred.
