Title: QA Engineer - Commerce Domain Services
Location: Dallas Hybrid 3 days/week
Duration: 6+ months Contract
Compensation: $45-50/hr.

We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Engineer to support our Commerce Domain Services team. This role focuses on testing backend microservices that enable core eCommerce functionalities by integrating with downstream applications and internal systems. The ideal candidate will have experience in functional and automation testing, along with a deep understanding of API integration within eCommerce platforms.Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform functional manual testing and UI/API integration testing across commerce backend services
  • Develop and execute automated test cases using Selenium, Playwright, or similar Java-based frameworks
  • Validate API endpoints using Postman and Rest Assured for functional and regression testing
  • Utilize Mockito or similar mocking frameworks to simulate service interactions
  • Conduct integration testing across microservices, queues, notification services, batch file interfaces (EDI), and cloud-based components (e.g., AWS Lambda)
  • Ensure quality and performance of backend services used to power downstream eCommerce applications
  • Work closely with product and development teams to align testing with business requirements
  • Leverage JIRA Test Management tools to track test cases, execution, and defects
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5+ years in QA/testing roles with a strong focus on backend systems
  • Experience in eCommerce (B2B/B2C) platforms, especially on backend domain services (not frontend checkout/UX)
  • Deep understanding of API/microservices integration testing and automation
  • Strong hands-on skills in Java-based automation tools and frameworks
  • Familiarity with Kafka, AWS Lambda, or other cloud/batch systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
