
Instrumentation Engineer

- Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited school or a degree in an applicable technical specialty.
- 10+ years’ experience in engineering design, fabrication, research, and/or testing of instrumentation sensors and data collection.
- Experience in leading teams during technical design and providing strategic advice to project staff. Training less experienced engineers in technical skills, unit cohesion, and collaboration.
- Familiar with MIL-STD-1553, ARINC-429 and aircraft transducers, experience with low-speed data systems and pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTDs, flowmeters, strain gages and high-speed data systems, accelerometers, high frequency pressure transducers.
- Very familiar with engineering and mathematics applications software’s such as Maple MathCAD and MATLAB; compute and graph simple and complex mathematical expressions, discrete sequences and systems, audio and image processing and construction of simple Simulink models.
- Multisim or Electronic Workbench; design, simulate and analyze analog and digital circuits schematics
- Familiar with Creo schematics & Parametric with Windchill
- Familiar with electrical instruments such as function generators, digital multimeter and oscilloscope
- Experience using DIT-MCO and Cablescan electrical testing software.
- Experience with NI LabView Test Stand, DEWESOFT & Safran flight test products.
- Experience with SolidWorks Electrical & Mentor Graphics
- Experience in trouble shooting of electrical system down to component level.
- Familiar with Creo-Parametric and windchill.
- Familiar with RF Antenna & receiver setup for telemetry systems
- Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience in leading teams during technical design and providing strategic advice to project staff.
- Training less experienced engineers in technical skills, unit cohesion, and collaboration.
- Experience initiating and developing requirements for DoD project execution.
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics.
- Ability to create or modify Pulse Code Modulation (PCM) data streams.
- Working knowledge of programming numerical systems and how to interface with, and record data from, military aviation platforms.
