- Be part of an exciting journey as we build our new facility in the Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park in Alabama, NY! This role offers a unique hybrid opportunity, blending remote work flexibility with on-site presence during the facility's construction phase.
- Maintenance Oversight: Plan, coordinate, and supervise maintenance activities for CNC machining centers, assembly lines, testing equipment, and painting systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all factory equipment, including CNC machines, assembly systems, test rigs, and spray booths, to reduce unexpected failures.
- Troubleshooting and Repairs: Diagnose and resolve complex equipment malfunctions, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and PLC-controlled systems, to ensure minimal disruption to production.
- Team Leadership: Lead, train, and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of critical components for CNC machines, assembly tools, testing equipment, and painting systems.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify opportunities for equipment upgrades and process optimizations to enhance throughput and quality.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to OSHA regulations, environmental standards, and factory-specific safety protocols, including those for handling paints and chemicals.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and downtime incidents, providing regular reports to the Manufacturing Maintenance Manager.
- Testing and Calibration: Oversee maintenance of testing equipment to ensure accurate performance validation of dry pumps, including vacuum and pressure testing systems.
- Painting System Maintenance: Ensure spray booths and painting equipment are maintained for consistent application quality and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role. Experience with CNC machining, assembly automation, testing systems, and industrial painting processes is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley), CNC controls (e.g., Fanuc, Siemens), hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and electrical circuits. Familiarity with vacuum pump technology and painting systems is a plus.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage multiple priorities, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Certifications: Certifications such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional), OSHA 30, or Lean Six Sigma are desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
