- Drive supplier improvement initiatives to continually lower risk, reduce lead times and cost, improve delivery, and improve quality for zero defect goal to meet and exceed business requirements
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts and legal terms under the guidance of the internal legal and finance support teams
- Implement a supplier risk management strategy including, but not limited to, supplier's financial stability, logistics risks, and geopolitical risks. Assess the risk impact to INFICON and develop mitigation plans to support a high performing supply base
- Manage supplier compliance requirements within policies / procedures for regulatory and import/export control needs
- Ensure business continuity by creating close collaborative working relationships with suppliers and developing alternate sources of supply for key commodities and materials; influence manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations
- Drive New supplier identification, sourcing, selection and contracting based on business Operations and New Product Development needs; Strengthen supplier vetting and assessment at initial onboarding and at renewal
- Develop and implement Supplier Scorecard system to document and drive performance improvements
- Understand value stream capacity plan in S&OP and SAP; ensure supply base and procurement plans are in place to meet requirements and ensure that forecasts, demand material planning, and schedule requirements are aligned and integrated
- Develop and maintain policies and procedures for safety stock, lead time, consignment stock, schedule changes and appropriate approvals; Owns the integrity of procurement / MM data in ERP SAP systems to support
- Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times & build resiliency into supply chain without driving excess inventory
- Conduct should-cost and make vs. buy analyses to support sourcing decision
- Develop and maintain supplier capacity modeling for supply chain capabilities for short (0-3 months), mid (3-18 months) and long-term (5-year) horizons; Understand demand inputs and position supply to support growth and exceed needs
- Oversee and manage export/import compliance, export controls, tariff monitoring and optimization
- Oversees logistics including optimized storage & movement of goods to/from INFICON in Receiving, Warehouse & Shipping
- Optimize freight costs, receiving & shipping, on materials from Suppliers, to Customers, and Inter-company movements
- Establishes policies and procedures governing and optimizing warehousing, inventory management, freight and transportation
- Establish and implement strategies to optimize organizational inventory, including driving accuracy via cycle counts and control methods, and improving overall Inventory Turns and efficiency in Supply Chain
- Build a strong team with skills and experiences needed to support business objectives across Sourcing, Supply Chain & Logistics
- Provide coaching, mentoring & support to team members to improve overall performance & provide growth & development
- Develop collaborative relationships and partnerships with leadership team, business units, and key stakeholders in supply chain
- Interact daily with functional resources including Engineering, Quality, Planning and Production in Lean Daily Management to ensure all supply requirements are met
- Collaborate with Quality Manager and Compliance team to develop, implement, and direct policies, practices, and procedures that are in accordance with federal, commercial, state/local, and/or international Procurement regulations.
- Partner with NPD Agile teams throughout Product Development process to manage total costs and schedule delivery through Product Launch
- Engage with global supply chain and sourcing counterparts to drive leading supply chain practices and initiatives across INFICON
- Take an active role in and/or facilitate Kaizen events to support the continuous improvement process within the plant and across all supply chain activity to build stability and sustainability within the supply chain

- Strong communication skills which include: ability to convey complex technical concepts to company stakeholders in an easy-to-understand manner, both verbally and written; active listening skills to gather key information from partners
- Strong commercial negotiation skills with extensive experience negotiating contracts and agreements to ensure compliance with internal or external purchasing requirements
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills to brainstorm quick and logical solutions; Ability to apply multiple technical solutions to business problems.
- BS/BA Supply Chain, business, or technical field is required.
- 10+ years of relevant operations and leadership experience in a manufacturing supply chain role
- Global supply chain experience (leadership role, including leading Global teams, working cross-cultures) preferred
- SAP ERP experience and MM/PP module competency for supply chain and procurement functions
- Global trade and compliance experience with strong knowledge of export controls as well as import/tariffs
- Lean Manufacturing Experience including 5S, Value Stream, Kaizen. Green Belt Level or Higher, Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- Knowledge of ISO9001 and/or 14001 in a lean manufacturing environment
- Desirable certifications include: Certified Supply Chain Manager (CSCM); and/or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
