About the FacilityA health system is seeking a general surgeon for locum tenens coverage. About the Facility LocationThe facility is located in eastern North Carolina. About the Clinician's WorkdayThis assignment requires 24-hour call coverage on October 2427, November 710, and November 28December 1. The role includes both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities with nights and weekend call, supporting an established practice alongside an existing surgeon. The facility has 3 ORs, a 9-bed ED, and a 49-bed hospital, averaging 65 surgical cases per month. ICU/critical care procedures are required, but colonoscopy is not needed on weekends. Common procedures include appendectomy, cholecystectomy, bowel obstructions, I&D, EGD, amputations, and hernia repairs, with support from 2 MDs and 1 nurse.
