As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading electrical design projects and guiding a team of talented engineers. From pre-design engineering to project management and construction administration, you'll be involved in every aspect of the process.Key Responsibilities:Pre-Design Engineering:
  • Conduct thorough field surveys to inform electrical system designs and compile site assessment reports.
  • Develop detailed electrical schematic designs to lay the groundwork for project development.
Design Engineering:
  • Create power single line and riser diagrams, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize advanced software such as AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit for electrical calculations and design.
  • Select lighting fixtures and power equipment, and design lighting control systems to enhance functionality.
  • Prepare fire alarm layouts and riser diagrams, adhering to relevant codes and regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other building components.
Project Management:
  • Manage multiple large-scale projects, providing mentorship to junior engineers and overseeing subcontractors.
  • Independently develop proposals for clients and actively contribute to business development efforts.
Construction Administration:
  • Review and address requests for information (RFIs) in a timely manner.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of equipment submittals and oversee punch walks during the construction phase.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP/SKM, and Revit.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in federal facility projects is advantageous.
