We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our finance team and oversee the day-to-day operations of our accounts payable function.Position Summary:
The Accounts Payable Supervisor will be responsible for leading the AP team, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports, while maintaining compliance with company policies and internal controls. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and mentor the accounts payable team, providing training, support, and performance management.Oversee the processing of vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment runs, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.Maintain strong relationships with vendors, resolving discrepancies and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.Monitor AP aging reports, cash requirements, and assist with cash flow forecasting.Ensure compliance with corporate policies, SOX/internal controls, and audit requirements.Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy within AP operations.Partner with procurement and manufacturing operations to resolve issues related to purchase orders, receipts, and payments.Review and reconcile monthly AP accounts, preparing reports for management.Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations.Assist in system upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives related to ERP/AP processes.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).5+ years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.Manufacturing industry experience strongly preferred.Strong knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and proficiency in Excel.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with a customer service mindset.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
