Possibilities for advancement within our company eliminates the possibility of employees feeling as though they are in a "dead end job".Who We're Looking ForWe are looking for an enthusiastic, career minded, self-motivated individual to fill the position of Field Service Technician in the Anaheim, CA area and beyond. A good candidate will be comfortable working both alone and with peers, available to travel throughout the week, and computer and cell phone literate. Electrical knowledge is an absolute plus. We are willing to train a mechanically inclined person who is eager to learn.What You'll be Doing
  • On-Site Service – Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and/or install woodworking machinery at customer shops. Machinery includes table saws, jointers, planers, bandsaws, dowel-boring machines, etc. This may involve extensive traveling across the United States or within your region.
  • In-Office Support – Utilize our integrated digital ticket support system to assist customers with troubleshooting machinery issues. Promptly communicate via phone call, video call, and email to diagnose and identify issues. Recommend solutions to the customer on how to solve their issue including: steps to fix the issues themselves, the purchase of spare parts, and/or the purchase of an on-site service visit by a Felder Group USA Technician.
  • Showroom & Used-Machinery Support - In our local office, you may be tasked with assisting in the installation, calibration, and operation of showroom machinery. You may also be tasked with diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing damaged or used machinery.
Job Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree or certification preferred
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the customer and display excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage your workflow in a timely and consistent manner
  • Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
  • Problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledgeable about all safety requirements
  • Ability to diagnose AC and DC circuits
  • Ability to diagnose pneumatic systems
  • Ability to travel via car and airplane; ability to complete multi-day assignments out-of-state
