Wilkes University invites applicants for a full time, Assistant Clinical Professor in the undergraduate department of the Passan School of Nursing beginning August, 2024. The Passan School of Nursing offers both undergraduate and graduate programs and is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).The successful candidate is responsible for clinical instruction within the undergraduate program. The position requires specialization in medical surgical nursing and includes clinical based teaching in various healthcare and community settings. Working hours can vary from 6, 9, or 12 hours per day with clinical shifts scheduled during the days, evenings or weekends. Travel up to a 100-mile radius is possible. Clinical time may also be assigned in the Clinical Nursing Simulation Center on campus. Effective teaching, mentoring, and advising are expected of all clinical faculty. A Master of Science in Nursing is required. Eligibility for licensure in Pennsylvania, demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching, and current clinical competence is required. The ideal candidate should have prior experience teaching at the college level.
