Maintains equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner. Perform other related duties as assigned. Change machine tools and/or procedures as required or with approval as directed by management. In accordance with the fabrication cycle, use accessories like lifting devices and make adjustments to ensure a product that meets safety and quality guidelines. Must be able to perform required welding tasks in confined space due to weld locations. Must be able to produce acceptable welds in non-standard out of position circumstances.Key Success Factors
  • Proven record of demonstrating outstanding safety performance on the job every day through actions and speech.
  • Examines all required documentation to comprehend the extent of the work that needs to be done.
  • Acquires and maintain in good working order all the fixtures and tools needed to complete the daily task.
  • Ability to read and interpret the manuals, blueprints and operation sheets for the unit or piece to be welded.
  • Master the usage of a variety of fixtures, clamps, and hand tools to fix and align the part or unit to be welded.
  • Accomplished knowledge of the joining characteristics of ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
  • Must be able to recognize unacceptable weld patterns quickly and implement corrective action while work is in progress to produce a quality product and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Comprehend the procedures and sequences for all re-core and repairable units.
  • Provide training to new or less experienced associates.
  • Willingness to train and provide cross-functional support.
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTSDue to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.You Must Have
  • High school diploma or GED plus 2 years of trade school.
  • 4+ years of direct welding experience.
  • Maintain a welding certificate as required by Honeywell.
