
IT Systems Administrator - Fargo, ND (In-Office)

- Maintain and support servers, applications, end-user devices, and operating systems
- Perform routine server administration (user/group management, group policies, print services)
- Monitor system health, respond to event log warnings/errors, and ensure performance stability
- Lead and contribute to IT projects that align with business strategy
- Deploy new software/hardware and support data center initiatives
- Partner with internal teams and external vendors to share project status and support IT initiatives
- Provide Tier II/III technical support and assist the help desk with root cause troubleshooting
- Maintain servers, routers, switches, firewalls, LANs/WANs, and network systems
- Oversee internet, intranet, and other key network infrastructure components
- Conduct system audits, review backup processes, and ensure data integrity
- Maintain filing systems and uphold strict confidentiality and data security protocols
- Must be flexible and able to travel throughout the company’s service area with short notice
- Occasional overnight stays required, averaging 50% of the work schedule
- Proven success in an IT role with strong hands-on technical experience
- Deep knowledge of:
- Windows and Unix systems administration
- Active Directory and group policies
- Enterprise backup and recovery tools
- System monitoring tools and performance tuning
- Networking protocols and infrastructure
- Familiarity with cloud environments, especially Microsoft Azure
- Experience in project management and application integration
- Ability to troubleshoot complex distributed systems
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Professional certifications in relevant IT disciplines a plus
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and 50+ pounds occasionally
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, talk, and use hands to operate office equipment
- May be exposed to chemical vapors (e.g., acetone, ether, glutaraldehyde); PPE provided
- No exposure to bloodborne pathogens in this role
