ABOUT THE POSITION:This role provides order management of domestic and import orders for local and overseas suppliers/distributors. You will leverage effective communication, organization skills, and strong process workflow orientation to drive desired day-to-day department outcomes and will analyze and interpret data to drive continuous improvement and department efficiencies. Responsibilities include:
  • Providing support to Sales, Product Development and Customers including custom quotations, large quantity quotes (BQ’s), expedite requests, and special requests (SIQs) to increase customer satisfaction and sales overall.
  • Serving as liaison between Supplier, Customer Service, and Warehouse for notification of delays, cancellations, undelivered orders, and other supplier-caused disruptions.
  • Supporting achievement of team KPIs through completion of daily tasks, effective time management, and timely communications to suppliers.
  • Obtaining lead times, order status and delivery information from suppliers/distributors, expediting orders as needed.
  • Entering replacement orders for short shipments, freight damage, or incorrect material supplied.
  • Improving productivity based on internal processes.
  • Collaborating with other departments on cross functional activities.
  • Serving as contact point to address and resolve escalated supplier/internal customer issues.
  • Working effectively with procurement departments from domestic and overseas suppliers.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years customer service or supplier related experience- solving problems for customers or suppliers.
  • High proficiency in MS Office suite, Excel/Access/SQL is a plus.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization.
  • Must have excellent problem-solving skills, detail oriented, training/material retention.
  • Strong interpersonal and conflict management skills required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills is required.
  • Ability to collaborate with suppliers. to support customer needs.
  • Works with a high degree of initiative, professionalism, independent judgment, and attention to detail.
