Your primary focus is to ensure that products are picked, packed, and shipped accurately, efficiently, and on time to meet customer and business requirements. This role is crucial in maintaining the distribution center's operational effectiveness and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.*Required to work fully on-site in Kenosha, WI*
Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Oversee warehouse staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management. Ensure employees are properly trained in warehouse operations and safety protocols.
  • Team Leadership: Lead by example, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment. Motivate teams to meet or exceed performance metrics.
  • Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve employee disputes or operational issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Order Fulfillment: Ensure accurate and timely picking, packing, and shipping of orders to meet customer demands and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Shipping: Outbound logistics to ensure goods are dispatched in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Workflow Optimization: Develop and implement efficient workflows and processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Technology Utilization: Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS - Oracle)
  • KPI Monitoring: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time shipments, quality and productivity rates, and implement improvements when necessary.
  • Health and Safety Standards: Enforce compliance with workplace safety regulations (e.g., OSHA standards) to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct regular safety audits and training.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all warehouse and distribution activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
  • Capacity Planning: Assess and plan for warehouse space utilization, seasonal volume fluctuations, and staffing needs.
  • Budget Management: Assist in creating and managing budgets for warehouse operations, including labor, equipment, and supplies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement, implement process enhancements, and drive cost-saving initiatives.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve issues related to delayed shipments, inventory discrepancies, or damaged goods.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Collaborate with other departments (e.g., sales, customer service) to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Data Analysis: Generate and analyze reports on warehouse performance, including productivity, accuracy, and efficiency metrics.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records for inventory, shipments, employee performance, and safety incidents.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, supply chain, and transportation teams to ensure a seamless flow of goods from suppliers to customers.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and carriers to maintain effective partnerships and resolve logistical challenges.
  • Problem-Solving: Quickly address operational disruptions (e.g., equipment breakdowns, staffing shortages, delivery delays) to minimize impact on distribution timelines.
  • Risk Mitigation: Develop contingency plans to manage risks, such as supply chain disruptions, inventory shortages, or natural disasters.
Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree required.Minimum 10+ years of experience, including minimum 2+ years as a team supervisor/manager. * Experience managing costs and optimizing resource allocation.
