GENERAL SUMMARY:Coordinates patient care within multiple modalities of Radiology to include general diagnostic, computed tomography, nuclear medicine, MRI and ultrasound. Works effectively and collaboratively in an integrated multidisciplinary team. Provides quality nursing care to patients in the department with strong skills in assessment, critical thinking, communication and teaching. Maintains breast procedural data as needed.12. Maintains a working knowledge of referral sources.13. Performs patient and family teaching as needed.14. Transports patients to and from exam rooms as required.15. *Reviews and utilizes data obtained by other members of the health care team (medical history, physical exam, diagnostic findings, psychosocial evaluations, educational and discharge factors).16. Competently uses medical equipment including monitors, infusions pumps, oxygen, suction; practices sterile technique as required.17. Competently utilizes departmental computer systems to document and retrieve patient information as appropriate.18. Advances work knowledge by participating in continuing education in-services, reading periodicals/literature and seeking ongoing development opportunities.19. Works cooperatively with purchasing and distribution to maintain department supplies using the most cost-effective methods.20. Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Current Registered Nurse licensure from the State of Nebraska or approved compact state of residence as defined by the Nebraska Nurse Practice Act. Minimum one (1) year patient care experience required. Previous experience in Radiology preferred.OTHER CREDENTIALS / CERTIFICATIONS:Basic Life Support (CPR) certification required. Bryan Health recognizes American Heart Association (for healthcareprofessionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals) and the Military Training Network. Current certification in ACLS required.
