We've been a Best Place to Work in Insurance recipient for the last eight years, and the average length of service of our employees is 11 years.About the RoleECBM is looking for an Account Executive to join our team in our Commercial Lines Department! This person will report to the Director of Client Services. They will maintain an assigned book of business by building client loyalty through excellence in service. This person will retain renewal contracts, planning and directing sales and marketing efforts. They will create new sales opportunities by supporting the firm's cross-selling and account-rounding efforts and seeking referrals from existing clients.Responsibilities
  • Sustain and enhance customer's relationship with ECBM.
  • Respond to all customer needs with accuracy, promptness, and courtesy.
  • Build relationships.
  • Manage and coordinate renewal process.
  • Control renewal process by developing account retention and growth strategy. Develop service plan for each client in accordance with ECBM service standards. Adhere to account renewal timelines, holding necessary meetings and gathering necessary information
  • Conduct Account Review to determine risks and exposures to loss.
  • Identify cross sell and account rounding opportunities.
  • Prepare stewardship reports on accounts required by service standards.
  • Gather renewal information and provide to Account Manager for compilation.
  • Work with Account Manager to compile information in format most conducive to producing best coverage and pricing for customer.
  • Work with Account Manager to determine best markets and marketing strategy for customer's coverage and pricing.
  • Aid Account Manager in negotiating best premium and coverage for customer.
  • Aid Account Manager in determining best format for renewal proposal.
  • Deliver renewal proposal and subsequent renewal paperwork to customer.
  • Deliver policies to and review with customer.
  • Provide and update Account Profile on account.
  • Coordinate claim services with the claim department.
  • Design and implement claim management program with each client.
  • Conduct periodic loss reviews according to ECBM service standards
  • Coordinate Account Management and Claims representatives in garnering information on significant or potentially significant claims
  • Meet with customer to review losses and potential impact on long term pricing and coverage
  • Monitor open claims issues through reports generated by claims department
  • Aid claim department in resolving claim issues, as necessary
  • Provide clients with Acucomp information.
  • Identify risk control issues and coordinate with clients, insurance carriers, or outside vendors to provide necessary solutions.
  • Keep Accounts Receivables current. Collect deposit premiums due at renewal when coverage is bound. Work with Accounting to monitor monthly receivables. Aid Accounting in the collection of receivables.
  • Notify management and producer of potential issues related to coverage, audits, claims, collections, etc.
  • Provide producers with necessary support to promote firm's growth and retention goals.
  • Assist all clients, departments or associates when required and requested to maintain firm's relationships and good standing.
  • Develop relationship with Insurance Markets.
  • Competency developed in use of Agency Management System
  • Participate in firm's on-call program.
  • Special Projects
Qualifications
  • College degree preferred, but high school diploma or equivalency required.
  • Professional Designation is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of sales process and ability to influence others is necessary.
  • Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good listening skills are required as well as a desire to solve problems.
  • Should have at least 5 years of insurance experience with good understanding of multi-line commercial insurance contract and coverages.
  • Should possess an understanding of negotiation process.
  • Property Casualty Agent's License required.
