- Lead and manage interior design projects from concept through completion, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and company standards.
- Develop and oversee detailed project schedules, furniture budgets, resources, and deliverables to ensure timely and efficient execution.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, managing expectations and communicating design vision clearly through engaging presentations, design boards, and documentation.
- Manage all project phases, from schematic design through construction administration, maintaining design integrity and executional quality at every stage.
- Lead overall design direction, including space planning, custom millwork, furniture and fabric selections, lighting design, material selections, and finishes.
- Produce and oversee the creation of detailed project drawings, including floor plans, elevations, millwork details, lighting layouts, plumbing plans, and construction documents to guide vendors and contractors.
- Source, specify, and procure all project elements—furnishings, fixtures, finishes, plumbing, lighting, materials, and accessories—ensuring selections align with the project vision, functionality needs, and owner goals.
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of furniture deliveries, installation logistics, and final styling to ensure properties are impeccably staged for guests.
- Conduct regular on-site meetings with contractors, trades, and vendors to communicate design intent, review progress, resolve issues, and ensure quality control.
- Maintain organized project documentation, including budgets, schedules, drawings, design specifications, vendor communications, proposals, invoices, and change orders.
- Collaborate closely with homeowners, internal team members, contractors, trades, and vendors to ensure seamless project coordination.
- Ensure all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet Aspen Vacations' high standards for quality, design, and guest experience.
- Coordinate final staging and professional photography to ensure each property is optimally presented for vacation rental listings.
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field.
- Submit portfolio demonstrating high-end residential work.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a residential design firm.
- NCIDQ certification preferred.
- Proven success managing multiple interior design projects simultaneously, from concept through completion.
- Strong knowledge of design principles, construction methods, and the ability to solve construction-related issues effectively.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable, with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant design software.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to creating positive, professional experiences across all interactions—including with guests, homeowners, team members, vendors, and contractors.
- Comfortable collaborating cross-functionally and supporting other departments in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A motivated self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, accountability, and follow-through.
