- Leading planning, implementation, and coordination of accident prevention, fire prevention, occupational health, and environmental programs.
- Providing safety, health, and environmental training to employees.
- Conducting regular facility inspections, hazard/risk assessments, and incident investigations with corrective actions.
- Enforcing all GEA production HSE legal requirements, including PPE assessments, incident reporting, and environmental compliance.
- Organizing and ensuring annual execution of emergency response drills (fire, tornado, earthquake, evacuation, shelter-in-place).
- Preparing, filing, and maintaining records, reports, and permits (EPA, OSHA, state, and local).
- Auditing sites to maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Supporting the QHSE Manager in sustaining ISO certifications and driving continuous improvement.
- Education: Two-year degree in HSE with one additional year of relevant experience or any two year degree and two years working in the field.
- Experience: Experience in a chemical or manufacturing facility preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, state, and local safety/environmental regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive.
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit up to 8 hours per day.
- Lift/carry 25–35 lbs. occasionally.
- Occasional exposure to manufacturing environments (PPE required).
- Travel: Limited travel up to 10% to GEA production and shop sites across North America.

GEA Group has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States.The pay range is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
